XAVIA'S CLASSROOM

This class is taught by Skye Weideman, who is an avid gamer and Fortnite lover! The goal is to collaborate, get into breakout rooms, and hone our strategy! This is not just a Battle Royale game: while playing Fortnite, your learners will hone their strategy skills and also learn the value of teamwork (we can’t get a dub if we don’t work together!).

🎮 This LEARNER-DICTATED gaming club is designed for ALL levels of learners: new players will learn how to play and strategize, while pros will be working to help each other level up and try to meet their weekly goals! If you do know tons about Fortnite and just want to play, you can share your knowledge with the others. We will work together as a duo, trio, or squad to navigate the island and get a victory royale. (Maximum of seven players plus Teacher Skye, so I can help you as well)

For newbies, this will be a learning as we play experience, as Teacher Skye will explain how to use weapons, potions and more of the Fortnite basics!

✅ No supplies beyond the console (or PC) and game are necessary.

 Break-out rooms ~ I will implement a breakout room in larger classes, so that learners can have fewer distractions while they play (for example, when one group of learners wants to play or discuss one game while the rest want to do something else). Whenever possible I will be present in both the main room as well as the breakout room, as I will have a second device so that I can hear what is going on in both and aid/monitor ALL learners. If I am unable to have a secondary device I will be checking in with the learners in the breakout room periodically.
